Crosby: One Lucky Golden Retriever!!!

Wellesley — Last month: A golden retriever that picked the wrong day for a swim in the icy Charles River made it home cold and wet – but safe -- after a Wellesley firefighter went in after her Sunday afternoon.

Five-year-old Crosby ventured too far onto the ice while on a walk at the Elm Bank Reservation but was saved when firefighter Dave Papazian entered the frigid waters and broke up the ice that had trapped the golden retriever 50 yards off shore.
